Website Case Study: Patient Information Forum

What did the Patient Information Forum need from their new web site?

The Patient Information Forum (PiF) approached us late in 2005 and asked us to build them a new web site in time for their annual conference in February 2006.  Their existing site suffered from poor accessibility and usability, so they were keen to create a visually appealing and engaging site for their members.

PiF is an independent group united by a common purpose, the development, production, and dissemination of high-quality information for patients, carers, and their families.  Their members come from all over the UK and from all sectors, so it was essential for them that their web site provided them with a central place to meet and discuss patient information issues.

The challenge for us was to take their existing site, which featured a good deal of content and membership information, and quickly transfer this into an improved design with far greater
functionality.
