life scan case study

What did we do for LifeScan?

"Minervation helps LifeScan translate this information into understandable and commercially-relevant messages."

- Chris Ball, Medical Marketing Manager, LifeScan

Minervation were able to identify the best available research evidence that exists in the area of self-management of blood glucose, synthesize it and summarise it, then present the results to help answer LifeScan’s questions in the most reliable way possible.

We developed a detailed searching protocol for the following sources:

  • Secondary research resources (e.g. Cochrane Library and EBM journals)
  • Primary research resources (e.g. MEDLINE and EMBASE)

Searching was carried out by our experienced information scientists.

We sifted the material we found to ensure it was relevant to the topic and reliable in terms of research methodology.

We then critically appraised the papers we found, and used our Phaedrus content management system to create a structured summary of each of the documents.

Quality assurance was provided by external clinical reviewers who audited the site content against the original sources and checked for clinical relevance.
