About Minervation

We build accessible, usable and reliable websites.

We specialise in supporting evidence-based health care.

Our real pièce de résistance is producing evidence-based information by:

research-box

Finding all of the high quality research on any given subject.

filter-box

Filtering out irrelevant, biased and unreliable evidence

filter-box

Presenting it in an accessible, usable, dynamic format.

Health information should be accessible, usable and reliable, and co-produced with its users.

We love to work in partnership with organisations that share these goals.

Our History

We have worked in Oxford since the mid-1990s, for the NHS and also for the University of Oxford.

Minervation team meeting

André and Douglas both trained in Information Science and have spent a number of years working in Evidence-Based Health Care.

André cut his teeth working at the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry and Douglas got the EBM bug at the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine.

We set up Minervation as a spin-out from Oxford University in 2002 because we saw the opportunity to start a business that could help individuals and organisations who shared our vision for health information.

We work with charities, public sector organisations, academic groups and commercial clients.

Our ethos is simple:

We always conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity. We believe in inclusive and open-minded working. We are passionate lifelong learners. We strive to take a fresh and original approach to new and existing work.
