About us
Minervation spun-out from Oxford University in 2002 because we recognised the opportunity to start a commercial venture to support organisations who share our vision for health information.  The two founders (André Tomlin and Douglas Badenoch) both trained in Information Science and have spent a number of years working in Evidence-Based Health Care, where we have learnt that information about health care must be:

Your role
We are looking for a dynamic and talented Web / Graphic Designer to join our dynamic and talented team!  We need your skills to help us deliver a wide range of high profile, accessible and standards compliant web projects.

We are a small company so need a flexible and energetic individual who can adapt to the changing needs of the business.  The majority of your time will be spent as a web designer, working with CSS to build sites using our own in-house content management system.  You will also spend a significant amount of time on more traditional graphic design (e.g. creating organisational logos).

We use both Macs and PCs, so you are welcome to work on whichever system you prefer.

Essential skills: 

  • The ability to produce and adapt design ideas quickly
  • At least 2 years experience working in a commercial setting
  • A recognized degree in web or graphic design
  • HTML and CSS (expert)
  • Photoshop and Illustrator (expert)
  • InDesign
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • A detailed understanding of W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines
  • A detailed understanding of branding and ability to identify and use appropriate visual language

Desirable skills:

  • Awareness of leading development tools for innovative design
  • Flash
  • Understanding of web usability issues
